In Good Company Foundation (IGCF) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that offers in-person and online experiences to facilitate spiritual awareness, growth and healing in a safe, non-judgmental space. Our retreats, circles and programs support our vision to transform lives by tending hearts and furthering the growth of compassion and loving-kindness. We seek to companion with others on their spiritual journey.

    Laura Vaughan

    Laura Vaughan has a heart for loving and supporting each person she encounters. A compassionate listener who invites others to share their story, she nurtures well-being, healing and spiritual growth. Laura uses her gifts to assist others in identifying and embracing fully who they are, meeting them where they are as they find and live into their own unique wisdom.

    Laura is from Shreveport, LA . She earned a degree in Christian Education from Centenary College and a Certificate in Spiritual Direction through the Louisiana Annual Conference. She is a member of Spiritual Directors International, The Gathered Community of Spiritual Directors and the Covenant Community of Spiritual Directors.

    Laura offers Spiritual Direction to individuals and groups, retreats and circles. She serves as Registrar for The Narrative Enneagram. She enjoys taking slow walks, pausing and living from a space of curiosity, wonder and awe.

    Amy Love

    “I offer generous space for cultivating spiritual growth through artfully celebrating the gifts of the Holy Spirit.”

    Amy Love is an artist. She creates large-scale wall hangings and art installations as spiritual inspiration for individual clients, retreats and sacred spaces. Making art is how Amy expresses and explores her personal spiritual journey, her questions and study. Her art is her prayer and praise in material form. Amy works from Run Across the Water Studio and invites others to “quiet tables” and circles through collaboration with In Good Company Foundation so that they may pursue their co-creative gifts in an imaginative, encouraging environment.

    Jodie Goens

    “I believe in the power of images to evoke meaning and movement toward wholeness.”

    Jodie Goens is a spiritual director, teacher, grandmother and contemplative. In the comfort created by her gentle presence and perceptive listening, Jodie companions children and adults as they explore the inner journey and connect to outer life with authenticity. Through Sandplay, Labyrinth Walks, Retreats and Circles, Jodie supports healing and moving the body as ways to listen to the spirit. Jodie is a certified Spiritual Director through the Louisiana Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church and a Registered Sandplay Practitioner. Following a full career as a school counselor, Jodie is in awe of how God has unfolded the path to this stage of life.

    Betty Johnson

    “We nurture self-worth, wonder and awe by knowing and honoring ourselves.”

    Betty Johnson is a spiritual director, writer, teacher and lover of the earth. Betty does group work utilizing various spiritual practices, including journaling and free flow writing. She has completed writing courses with Natalie Goldberg and Christina Baldwin. Betty believes that when we have the courage to write our stories, we connect more deeply with who we are, finding our way to becoming more fully the person God created us to be. A deep connection to the earth and its energy, its seasons and cycles provides grounding and guidance for her spiritual path.
